David Bowie is back on top

David Bowie has found fame again.

The pop star returned to the top of the British album charts for the first time in 20 years with a collection of new songs.

"The Next Day", recorded in secret over two years, shot straight to number one in its first week of release - becoming the fastest-selling album of 2013.

After shying away from the spotlight after a heart attack in 2004, Bowie surprised fans in January with the unexpected release of the single "Where Are We Now?" on his 66th birthday.

The album is Bowie's first in nearly a decade and his first chart-topping success since 1983's "Black Tie White Noise".
