Pet Shop Boys leave their record label after 28 years

Pop duo Pet Shop Boys have left Parlophone, their record label of 28 years to release their new album "Electric" through Kobalt Label Services (KLS) in June via an as-yet-unnamed label set up by the band.
The move by the group who have sold 50 million records world-wide comes just a month after the announcement that Parlophone was being sold to Warner Music.
The pair, who are reported to be the most successful duo in UK history, have been together for 32 years. Back in 2009, Neil Tennant explained how they've stayed so solid.

"We've always enjoyed what we do. We've always enjoyed a certain amount of success. We've done different projects outside pop music as well. It's always a busy and interesting thing being part of the Pet Shop Boys."
The new album is now being trailered on the Pet Shop Boys website with a short promo saying it will go on release in June.
