Massive pile-up on German highway

More than 100 cars crashed on a German highway near Frankfurt due to heavy snow and poor visibility on Tuesday (March 12) and more the 30 people were injured, six of them seriously, according to police.

Police added that no one was killed in the pile-up

The mass accident happened at noon in central Hesse state and several trucks were involved. At the time of accident, there was heavy snowfall which caused poor visibility.

Snow had been falling for days in some parts of Germany, causing accidents on the roads and on sidewalks.
