Church cardinals meet for pre-conclave talks
Cardinals arrive Monday morning at the Vatican.
They're here for a general congregation to prepare for the upcoming closed-door papal conclave that will determine who among them will become the Roman Catholic Church's next leader.
There is much speculation on which region the next pope might come from, with contenders hailing from around the globe.
But cardinals never reveal publicly who they prefer as pontiff.

"Whichever priest, whichever Christian who could be elected would be perfectly accepted into the church because I think this is one of our great values."
Vatican experts say the new pope could be elected next week and officially installed several days later to preside over Holy Week ceremonies, starting with Palm Sunday on March 24 and culminating in Easter the following Sunday.
