Kabul suicide attack wounds seven

The scene of a suicide bomb targeting an army bus in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday.

A tow truck hauls away the blown out bus.

Police said the attack wounded six army personnel and one civilian.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for this suicide attack.

One witness described the incident.

(SOUNDBITE) (Dari) BAKER AND WITNESS TO THE SUICIDE ATTACK SAIFULLAH KHAN, SAYING:

"It was 7:00 am. when the bus carrying Afghan army personnel stopped here, suddenly an explosion took place and I saw some wounded people lying down on the street, I don't know how many army soldiers would have been wounded."

Violence across the country has been increasing over the last 12 months.

Some are concerned about how the Afghan security forces will be able to manage once most foreign troops withdraw by the end of 2014.
