Fashion statement or faux pas?

Hot ? or Not?

These are just some of the interesting characters roaming the tents at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

You decide if these fashionistas are on to something.

Singaporean jet setter Rohai Azhar flew in to check out the trends for Fall 2013. And it looks like he's brought a little friend to keep him company.

SOUNDBITE: Rohai Zatul Azhar, visitor from Singapore saying (English):

"This is Alexa. I know, I named her Alexa. But she is faux fur. She is faux fox fur."

Next, there's Brian. He's a real estate agent turned fashion photographer... and characterizes his look as "rocker chic."

SOUNDBITE: Brian, a real estate agent and photographer saying (English):

"Lot's of vintage, lot's of my own style, color. I love black as a base but added with color on top of it."

Brian's not the only one here with an edgy look. Lloyd Barnes may be a Christian bishop by day, but when the tents come up his passion for fashion comes out.

SOUNDBITE: Lloyd Barnes, a bishop, saying (English):

"In a church I am mostly like a probably a -- I mess with my, I play with my dogs all day long, so probably a dirt bomb."

But fashion isn't all about the clothes. Check out some of this bling ... and the hairdos.

Just a reminder ... that the best show isn't always on the runway.
