The uncle of a girl band member of a Kashmiri rock band has taken on the Grand Mufti of Kashmir, questioning why if there was a fatwa for the all-girls rock band, there was nothing for the people who were threatening, intimidating and hurling abuse online? He added that his niece has been forced into hiding by all the threats and abuses. "If Grand Mufti has issued a fatwa against the girls,why is he silent on the threats and abuses that these girls have been targeted with, isn't that against Islam? The girls have been threatened into silence and have been forced to go into hiding, what wrong did they do to attract all this, they were just playing music," he said.
