Protests erupt after Tunisian opposition leader shot dead

Protesters take to the streets of Tunis after an opposition leader is shot dead outside his home.
Outside the clinic where Chokri Belaid died, some were grieving, many were angry.
This man blames the killing on Tunisia's ruling Ennahda party.
Ennahda has denied any involvement, and Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali condemned Belaid's killing as a political assassination.
But protesters here say the government must be held responsible.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) CIVIL SOCIETY ACTIVIST, EMNA MNIF, SAYING:
"It's not possible any more to discuss, to negotiate, to agree with terrorists. This government has no other choice than to resign. Otherwise, Tunisian people will topple it. They must step down."
Belaid was a leading member of the opposition Popular Front party.
A lawyer and human rights activist, he had been a constant critic of the government, accusing it of being a puppet of the rulers of Qatar, which Tunisia denies.
