Alam Ara Janbaaz recount horror.

Women activists have not been targeted in the Kashmir Valley for the first time. A veteran singer and daughter of renowned poet, Alam Ara Janbaaz, had to flee from Kisthwar in 2004 because of threats from radicals. She has now voiced her support for the all girls rock which has decided to quit in the wake a fatwa issued against them by a grand mufti terming singing as un-islamic, a remark that came under all round attack. Support has been pouring in from all corners on social networking sites for the first all-girls rock band of Kashmir after they received abusive and hate messages on their Facebook page for defying convention by choosing the field of music.
