Ireland's former president Mary Robinson warns against proposed austerity measures in Europe, saying it could adversely affect the poorest most.

In an interview with Al Jazeera's Stephen Cole at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Robinson says Europe "cannot have deep austerity and growth at the same time."

"Now, we need countries to grow and create jobs in order to come out from the severe economic problems," Robinson said.
