I took the ski lift up to an intermediate slope with some of the other waeguks. By this time, I'd had maybe an hour's experience of snowboarding. The descent - the slope that passes by on the left - was frightening and painful.
Not as frightening as the prospect of the slope we float over to the top. Near the end of this clip you can see a child skiing down this piste with an impressive and somewhat disturbing level of expertise.
