Snow blankets Northeast US

Harsh winter weather has pounded parts of the U.S. with several inches of snow.

In upstate New York, drivers dig out their vehicles... and move onto the next problem. Slippery roads.

The National Weather Service issued a storm warning for parts of New England.

The normally balmy southern U.S. wasn't spared either.

Snow covered highways in Arkansas forced some drivers off the roads.

Airtravel was equally affected with snow to blame for the some 2,200 canceled flights throughout the U.S. since mid-week.
