Kidnapped in Yemen

Security is tight in Sanaa after three Westerners were kidnapped in Yemen.

Police continue to search for the gunmen who abducted a Finnish couple and an Austrian man, who were all in the country studying Arabic.

The owner of an electrics store says it happened right in front of him.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) OWNER OF SHOP, IBRAHIM ABDULWADOD, SAYING:

"What happened yesterday was three men in an old Suzuki Vitara car came into the shop holding weapons while three foreigners were asking me about the price of a camera. The woman fell to the ground and so did one of the men, with the other man raising his hands. The kidnappers then dragged the foreigners to their car."

Kidnappings of Westerners occur sporadically in Yemen, mostly carried out by Al Qaeda militants and tribesmen.
