Officials evacuated a Roman Catholic Church in Newtown, Connecticut Sunday - after a bomb threat was reported during mass.

Police determined St. Rose of Lima Church was safe to re-enter - but the building was closed for the rest of the day.

The Church is about a mile from Sandy Hook Elementary School - where a gunman killed 20 children and six adults on Friday.

Police on Sunday also warned about threats or false representations on social media websites - saying they would investigate for possible crimes.
