Local media reported multiple people are dead after a shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.
The Hartford Courant said a gunman opened fire at a school in the town of Newtown - Friday morning.
The adult shooter reportedly died - and two handguns were found at the scene.
Police and emergency vehicles surrounded Sandy Hook Elementary School - as parents rushed to the area.
The school serves children in kindergarten through the fourth grade - children roughly five to ten years old.
