They voice anger over the Judges Club which is calling for a countrywide strike.

5. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) LAWYER, MOHAMED ABDULLAH, SAYING:

"The lawyers of Alexandria are against delaying of work in an important institution like the judiciary. The judiciary is not the property of the judges. The judiciary belongs to the people."

Mursi granted himself sweeping powers last week, raising fears that he is putting himself above the law.

Now the President's office is underscoring the "temporary nature" of the decree.

Mursi will meet members of the Supreme Judicial Council Monday
