There is massive controversy over Indian skipper MS Shoni's explicit demand for turning tracks after a nine-wicket win over England in the opening Test in Ahmedabad. While some former cricketers have slammed Dhoni for his demands, others have backed him. Dhoni had asked the curators to doctor the pitches and make it more spin-friendly. The Indian captain, after winning the first Test, had expressed his displeasure at the Motera wicket and said, "We wanted the curators to prepare the pitches that will turn from day one."
