Seven dead in Guatemala clinic shooting

A healthcare clinic in Guatemala City, where seven people were killed in a deadly shootout.

Eyewitness accounts said armed men burst into this health clinic on Thursday (November 22) afternoon looking for a patient.

They were met by security guards and a fight ensued.

While paramedics found two victims inside the clinic, the other five were found in the surrounding area.

Local media said the dead men worked for a security company.

Guatemala is one of the poorest and most lawless countries in Latin America, and has one of the region's highest murder rates.
