A rebel under fire in Syria.

Video obtained by Reuters shows rebels in Idlib Province battling to control a government military compound.

Rebel forces close in as they seek to take control of the post.

The fighting is fierce in a town near the Turkish border and comes as Ankara is calling for NATO Patriot missiles to help defend against Syrian attacks.

NATO has said that Turkey can count on "allied solidarity" but said that the missiles would be purely for defense and not for creating a no-fly zone in Syria.

The civil war, which activists say has killed 38,000 people, has dragged Syria's neighbors and world powers into the conflict. Iran, Russia and China have stood by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. France, Britain and the United States have called for his ouster.

On the ground in Idlib Province a rebel warns the Syrian leader saying "we are coming for you Bashar."
