Bushfires scorch South Australia
Bushfires have engulfed several regions of South Australia.

At least 50,000 acres of farmland have been destroyed so far... leaving a path of scorched land and destroyed homes.

Firefighters were on the scene just west of Adelaide doing what they could... reinforcements were called in to help.

(SOUNDBUITE) (English) MALIM WATTS, COUNTRY FIRE SERVICE SAYING:

"When this fire started it took off at incredible speed. Very dangerous conditions, catastrophic conditions in fact which basically means that for that community its a day of survival."

Some good news for this little guy, sitting patiently in a burnt out tree.

A passerby found the koala and stopped to give him some water... a welcomed relief amidst the charred landscape.
