Winter has come early this year in parts of France, with heavy snow in the East and strong winds in the South prompting authorities to issue a storm warning.
Here in the Isère region, residents awoke to heaps of snow, and power cuts.
Local media reports said up to 50,000 households were without power on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, 80-mile-per-hour winds battered the French Riviera.
Two people were reported missing -- a 12-year-old boy on an island near Marseille, and a windsurfer further West along the Mediterranean coast.
Rescue services were fully mobilised, with the weather warning due to last until late Sunday night.
