"Vidyavachaspati" Prof Dr N N Murthy, Internationally reputed Quality,Environment, HRD, Communication Expert, Scholar & Poet spoke on Mahatma Gandhi and Manibhai Desai at National Seminar on Gandhian Philosophy for Peaceful Life in Globalised Economy on 2 October 2011 at Pune, India. This was organized by Padmashri Dr Manibhai Desai Manav Seva Trust, Pune. He was Guest of Honour on the occasion to deliver a lecture.
He delivered a lecture on Mahatma Gandhi and Manibhai Desai. He explained why Gandhi was not given Nobel Prize and why Nobel Academy is repenting now for their mistake. How Gandhi has became icon for peace today. He also narrated the work of Dr Manibhai Desai and promoting rural development. He gave a brief picture on Dr Manibhai Desai life and work. He mentioned about white revolution brought by Dr Manibhai Desai for social change. His lecture was quite impressive and simply excellent.
One day conference was held at Dr B R Ambedkar Sabhagriha, Pune and delegates came from all over India. Dr Chandrabhan Bhoyar, Padmashri Dr Vijay Kumar Shah were prominently present on the occasion.
Prof Murthy is Director of Jagruthi Kiran Consultants, Secretary General, International Benevolent Research Forum (India), Founder Secretary of Jagruthi Kiran Foundation. He received many awards, honors from world over for his work.
Dr Murthy is highly qualified with 29 degrees from 21 universities (Limca Record 2008). He has received SOKJ Medal (UK), Knight of Justice Honor (UK), ASIF Medal (Spain), IEI Gold Medal (India); He has got honorary degrees "Vidyavachaspati" "Vidyasagar" and having bestowed honorary degrees Doctor of University (West Indies) and Doctor of Human Letters (UK).
