Wedding photos resurface after being burried in quake

A couple from New Zeland make a startling discovery while walking along their driveway in Christchurch.

Their old camera, partially buried under the mud, had resurfaced after more than a year. And in it their precious wedding photos.

The couple told local media that as they ran for cover during the 2011 earthquake, they dropped their camera.

They never expected to see it again. But were delighted when, after giving it a thorough cleaning, the memory card worked.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) FEN JERIMIAH, SAYING:

"I was more pessimistic. Like, I didn't really think it would still work. But I'm glad that he's more like, yes, let's try this."

The photos are now safe and sound after being transferred to their computer.
