Family of NY bomb plot suspect deny his involvement

This is the family of a 21-year-old Bangladeshi man accused of plotting to bomb the Federal Reserve Bank in New York.

From their home in Dhaka .... Rawshan Akhtar denies her grandson's involvement.

"I don't believe he did this. I don't believe he is capable of doing this."

Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis was arrested on Wednesday - and charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to provide material support to al Qaeda.

His sister claims he had been victimized.

"We don't think this was done by him. It must be that he is being victimized here because in Bangladesh he wasn't like this at all, he was a good boy. He went to the USA to study and was admitted there when he got a 50 percent scholarship."

If convicted, Nafis faces life in prison.
