This is the very first Lotus Eclat Excel off the production line. It is the very same one shown in the advertising brochures and promotional materials of the launch.
Beautifully restored in 2010 by Brian Swankie to perfect concourse condition. Full engine rebuild and complete body overhaul and respray. With the addition of a full leather interior plus headlining and carpets made by myself. The car is an absolutely stunning example of what can be achieved in returning something to its former glory which otherwise could now be a pile of rubble.
Upholstered by Revamp Interiors (myself) formerly of Anstruther in Fife but now just simply C.J's Furniture Repair in Leven Fife. I no longer do the car interiors (it took way way to long, time wise) now concentrating on leather and furniture repair instead.However i do miss the feeling of achievement when the job was finished.
