New footage shows the last evening of Roberto Ladisio Curti's life.

The Brazilian student, seen here on security cameras in March, died on March 18 after an altercation with Australian police.

Curti was reportedly tasered several times by officers in response to an incident in a convenience store in downtown Sydney.

On Monday, authorities opened an inquest into his death.

Inquest officials heard evidence that police also used two and half cans of pepper spray, handcuffs and a baton in their pursuit.

Although there was no clear cause of death, officials said Curti may have choked while he was restrained.

Inquest counsel said Curti had also taken the hallucinogenic drug LSD.
