Ringo's 'Love Me Do' 50th Anniversary Tribute (Live in Lisburn City!), 2012

October 5th, 2012, is the 50 Anniversary of 'Love Me Do', the Beatles debut single for Parlophone. To mark the occasion, Ringo Dolenz - the Lisburn Busker - performed songs from Beatles singles, including B-sides, in chronological order. This sequence begins with 'My Bonnie', which the Beatles recorded in Germany in 1961, and concludes with 'Please Please Me'. The performance is recorded on a simple cassette-recorder, giving it an atmospheric 'low-fi' charm reminiscent of early Beatles home recordings. As it was recorded live on the street, passers-by can be heard in the background.
