Car bomb kills at least four in Baghdad

A car bomb explodes near the passing convoy of a private security firm in Baghdad killing at least four civilians and wounding 15 others.

Violence in Iraq has eased since its height of sectarian slaughter in 2006 and 2007. But Sunni Islamists and al Qaeda affiliates still launch regular attacks, seeking to undermine the Shi'ite-led government.

The government says the death toll from militant attacks across Iraq doubled in September to 365. That was the highest toll in more than two years.
