Hisar's anger spills nationwide

17 days ago, a class 12 student was abducted by a group of upper class youths in the Dabra village of Hisar and gang raped. The girl's distraught father attempted to bring up the matter in front of the village elders but the brutes threatened him and then circulated MMS clips of the horrific crime in the village. The father, unable to bear the humiliation, committed suicide. Nearly after two weeks later all that the Haryana police has managed to deliver are two arrests and empty assurances. Even the Hooda government continues to look away.
