Shakira pregnant with first baby

Colombian sensation Shakira is expecting her first child.

She confirmed the news on her website saying "Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby."

The lucky father is 25-year old Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, who she's been dating for the past two years.

The 35-year-old star says she is postponing all promotional activities for the near future to focus on the pregnancy.

Shakira is expected to replace Christina Aguilera as a coach next season on the U.S. version of "The Voice".
