South African filmmaker Jason Hearn has spent the last two and half years documenting many of the country's top surfers riding thousands of perfect waves all over the coast of the African continent and the Indian Ocean islands.

The fruits of this labour of love -- The Africa Project -- is a surf film that will stoke surfers and adventure lovers as the intrepid band of adrenaline chasers take the path less travelled to score great waves in exotic and often testing conditions.

Featuring future world champion Jordy Smith and a cast ranging from world-class competitors Davey Weare, Royden Bryson and Dan Redman to the freestyling Roosta Lange and big wave legend Twiggy Baker, as well as the new generation of emerging talents. The surfing in the film is nothing short of epic.

The well known breaks and new discoveries on the entire coastline of South Africa are covered in detail while locations in Morocco, Senegal, Namibia and Reunion Island will motivate every hardcore surfer to pack their bags and get on the road.
