It was an unforgettable day of surfing for all competitors in the Nike Block Series, held in collaboration with Hossegor Surf Club, Sunday June 17th at La Graviere.
A perfect 6 foot swell allowed the organisers to launch the event in awesome conditions, with competitors enjoying spectacular, powerful right hand waves while bathing in sunshine under a clear blue sky.
Local heroes Justin Becret, Pol Barets and Loyan Pons de Vier stole the show by winning in their respective categories against the best surfers of the area. "The Waves were great » explained Loyan Pons de Vier (Morocco) who claimed the junior category. "I have been really lucky with waves during my heat and I saw many other bombs » ;
The same impression was shared by hot local hot Pol Barets who won the Grom's category "Such a perfect day, surfing in these conditions with my friends is what I like doing the most ! ».
All winner receive a wildcard into the European final to be held at the end of August. "I am really motived to be in the final, it's going to be hard but let's see what I can do»! said Loyan.
