ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: The three crew members of Expedition 32 closed the hatch between the International Space Station and the Soyuz spacecraft on in final preparation for their journey back to earth.

Gennady Padalka, Joe Acaba and Sergei Revin are scheduled to undock at 2309 GMT. They will then begin the process of reentering earth's atmosphere and are expected to land in a designated location north of Arkalyk, Kazakhstan.

Expedition 32 Commander Gennady Padalka ceremonially handed over control of the International Space Station to Expedition 33 Commander Suni Williams on Saturday.

Williams will stay behind with Flight Engineers Aki Hoshide and Yuri Malenchenko to live and work aboard the orbital laboratory until November 12. This is Williams' second mission in space. She holds the record for the longest spaceflight by a woman
