Nakoula has denied involvement in the crudely-made English language film that insults the Prophet Mohammed.

On Friday, Nakoula's lawyer refused to comment on the investigation and asked that his client's privacy be returned.

SOUNDBITE) (English) STEVE SEIDEN, ATTORNEY FOR NAKOULA BASSELEY NAKOULA, SAYING:

"We're not going to answer any questions today. You're keeping his young children prisoners in their own home because they're afraid to come out. So if you'd disburse and maybe let them get out to do what they need to do we'd appreciate it and when we know more about what we're going to do in this matter we'll advise you."

U.S. authorities have said they are not investigating the film itself, which is protected under freedom of speech laws.
