After being Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya's little pest of a singer, Parisian Joya Hope now turns into an electro pop priestess behind her machines.
She awakens haunting melodies from her piano, distils deep, disturbing sub-bass sounds with her Moog, builds elaborate rhythmic architectures with her drum machine, and with one light hand, enchants the frequencies of her theremin.
She sings childhood songs, eerie lullabies and tunes that have the texture of dreams, with a voice as clear as her beat is wild, causing ghosts to revel and the earth to shake.
Joya has hope on her side with her first EP due in October.
