Clint Eastwood adds glamour to Republican convention

Cheers and applause as Clint Eastwood took the stage to warm up the crowd on one of the Republican party's biggest nights.

In his speech, the "Dirty Harry" star addressed President Obama directly.

SOUNDBITE: Actor Clint Eastwood saying:

"But I think it's maybe time, what do you think for maybe a businessman--How about that? A stellar businessman quote unquote a stellar businessman. And I think it's that time and I think if you just kind of stepped aside and Mr. Romney could takeover. You could still use the plane, though maybe a smaller one not that big gas guzzler."

The "Dirty Harry" star was a surprise last minute addition to the lineup.

SOUNDBITE: Actor Clint Eastwood saying:

"When someone isn't doing the job, it's time for them to go."

The Academy Award-winning director and actor endorsed Romney earlier this month.
