India’s No 1 English news channel TIMES NOW celebrated the Independence Day amidst huge fanfare and aplomb at the recently concluded 32nd India Day Parade in New York, USA, the world’s largest India Independence Day parade with an estimated turnout of over 120,000 people. TIMES NOW New York covered the event live making it an event to remember for millions of Indians worldwide and showcased highlights of other parades from Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and New Jersey.
The India Day Parade took a life of its own when Bollywood celebrity Saif Ali Khan Pataudi announced his presence by participating as Grand Marshall at the parade. The grandeur of the event was further magnified when the famous Empire State building lit up in Indian tri-colour followed by ringing of the Nasdaq bell gracing the occasion was Anil Kumble. With a footfall of over 120,000 people, the streets of New York were bathed in patriotic colours! Also present at the other parades were Prachi Desai and Aftab Shivdasani, gracing the occasion, making it a high voltage affair.
