Romney fires back at Republican rivals

Mitt Romney, the frontrunner in the race to be the US Republican presidential candidate, fired back at his rivals after they criticised him over his tenure running the private equity firm, Bain Capital.

Rival Republicans, Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry, accused him of being a cold-blooded capitalist and of laying off workers while lining his own pockets with profit.

The two drawn criticism from across the Republican Party for their push against Romney, as many feel it is only giving ammunition to Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
