In Pakistan, hundreds of protesters gathered outside the parliament in Islamabad to demand the government do more to end sectarian violence.

The demonstation follows the killing of nearly two dozen Shias in the northern part of the country, the latest in a spate of targeted killings against the nation's Shia minority in Balochistan, Gilgit, and Karachi.

Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from the Pakistani capital.
