Second Air France black box recovered
French investigators have retrieved the second black box voice recorder of an Air France passenger jet that plunged into the sea in June 2009..

The recovery of the recorder, which was hauled up using a robot submarine from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday, has raised hopes for solving the mystery of the crash.

All 228 on board were killed after the the flight from the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro to Paris, France's capital, slammed into the ocean.

A source close to the investigation said on Tuesday that an attempt to recover bodies would be made within the next two to four days.

Determining the cause of the crash took on new importance in March, when a French judge filed preliminary manslaughter charges against Air France and planemaker Airbus.
