An explosion at an illegal workshop in east China killed 13 people and left 14 injured on Sunday (August 5).
The incident occurred in a family-run workshop, which made locks in Wenzhou city, China's Zhejiang Province.
State media said it was operating illegally.
Local authorities said a fire blazed through an area of 200 to 300 square metres after the explosion and among the injured five people sustained severe injuries.
Local media reported the investigation into the cause is underway.
