A tanker caught fire sparking this blaze at HollyFrontier Corp's Tulsa, Oklahoma refinery early on Thursday morning.
The explosion and subsequent blaze caused at least one smokestack to collapse.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.
There were no immediate reports of injuries and the Tulsa Fire Department was put on stand-by as the company's fire crew contained the flames and let them to burn out.
