Tripoli faces severe water shortage

Libyans are experiencing a severe water shortage in the capital city of Tripoli.

While rumors have circulated that that lack of drinking water is due to sabotage or poisoning by Gaddafi forces, they're not true.

The water tanks that fill Tripoli's pipes are empty because there has been no electricity to power reservoir pumps for 45 days.

Al Jazeera's James Bays reports from Tripoli, Libya.
