Witnesses describe scenes of chaos inside a movie theater in a Denver suburb where a gunman killed at least 12 people at a midnight showing of Batman.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED WITNESS, SAYING:
"I thought he was just part of a prop or something, that he was just being theatrical -- that it was just part of the show -- since it was the Midnight premiere. I didn't know he was seriously like a bad guy -- you know what I mean. "
(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED WITNESS, SAYING:
"I actually went to a row behind me. I slipped on some blood and landed on a lady. I shook her and said we need to go. I said get up and there is no response. So, I presumed she was dead. I went towards the exit with my friends and I saw a guy with blood across his face, and on his shoulders and just got out of the movie theater."
About fifty others including children were wounded in the attack on the showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in a mall in the Aurora suburb.
