Tanzania mourns ferry crash victims
Rescuers help survivors of a ferry that capsized and sank near the coast of Zanzibar on Wednesday, killing at least 31 people.

The ferry had left Tanzania around midday for Zanzibar, a popular tourist destination, with more than 250 passengers on board.

So far, at least 145 have been rescued but it is still not known how many have drowned.

Zanzibar's president Ali Mohamed Shein has declared three days of mourning and has called for national unity following the tragedy.

More than 200 people were killed when a crowded ferry sank in September last year, in the worst maritime disaster in Zanzibar's history.
