With the Ampera, Opel has brought out its first electric hybrid series for the mass market. The Ampera has an all-electric range of 60 to 80 kilometers, which the 1.4 liter gasoline engine extends to 500 kilometers. The suggested retail price in Germany is just under 42 thousand euros. The Ampera goes on sale in Europe at the end of the year.
