Annan hails 'constructive' talks with Assad

Kofi Annan says he will be taking a new political approach from Syria's president to the country's armed opposition.
The UN envoy met Bashar Al Assad in Damascus. While he refused to say exactly what the message was, he insisted there can be no progress without an end to the violence.
He then flew to Iran for talks in Tehran.
