A highlight of West Bali is trekking through West Bali National Park which is home to deer, wild pigs, black and macaque monkeys and a wide range of birdlife including the exclusive Bali starling. A trek through the forest will almost always see the visitor spotting the local macaque monkey population, but those luckier will see the very timid large black monkeys, wild pigs or even deer.
