The McCartney clan - Paul, Mary, Stella and the lesser-seen James - were all in tow in London for the world premiere of "Comes A Bright Day".

It's the directorial debut of Mary McCartney's husband Simon Aboud.

The movie stars up-and-coming British actors Craig Roberts of "Submarine", Imogen Poots of "28 Weeks Later" and Anthony Welsh, who attended the premiere.

Seasoned veteran Timothy Spall - who's acting credits include "The King's Speech" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" - also stars.

"Comes A Bright Day" is a romantic thriller of two young people from different social classes, caught in a jewellery heist in London.

Aboud, who's also the movie's screenwriter, says the idea for the film came from a relative.

SOUNDBITE: Writer and Director of "Comes A Bright Day" Simon Aboud, saying (English):

"It came from a saying that my grandmother used to say to me which was 'You know the price of everything and the value of nothing.' And I liked the idea of a character who comes from a world without privilege going into a world of privilege and is obsessed about getting more."

During filming, life imitated art when a real-life jewellery robbery took place while the crew were filming.

SOUNDBITE: Writer and Director of "Comes A Bright Day" Simon Aboud, saying (English):

"As all the cameras were facing one way, these scooters arrived and these guys threw these rocks through the window and we watched, mouths on floor, and half the crew ended up having to give witness statements."

"Comes A Bright Day" will be shown in British cinemas on July 13.
