Glyndebourne Festival 2012 is the first UK opera festival powered by renewable energy and in January of this year Sir David Attenborough launched Glyndebourne's new wind turbine endorsing us as an environmental innovator in the arts. Glyndebourne has a long history of engaging with its landscape and surroundings and the turbine is just one of many positive actions Glyndebourne has taken in recent years to reduce carbon emissions.
